NEOSORB®  Liquid
Sweet syrups and a variety of humectants

NEOSORB®  Liquid is a large family of Roquette polyol compounds containing sorbitol and other hydrogenated long chain oligomers and polymers.

NEOSORB®  solutions can be used as substitutes for sucrose and meet organoleptic (sweetening power) and dietetic requirements (i. e. they are sugar-free, low-calorie, do not induce dental caries, and may be advised for diabetics).

Different grades of NEOSORB®  Liquid are used as bulk sweeteners in syrups, suspensions, oral ampoules, lozenges, pastilles, as well as in excipients for pan-coating or in humectants for paste and topical preparations.

DESCRIPTION Sorbitol solution, viscous, clear, sweet tasting, liquid with 70% dry substance.

PROPERTIES

 Physical, chemical and microbiological

• Miscible with water
• Chemical stability: absence of Maillard reaction
• Non-fermentable by oral bacteria

• Sweetening power about 60% that of sucrose

Dietetic**

• Sugarless (non-cariogenic)
• May be advised for diabetics
• Low-calorie
